A get-together of the standing conference under the Head of the CIS ATC with the participation of representatives of the competent authorities of 9 Commonwealth states countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan), office of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee, Executive Bureau of the Border Guard Service, Council of Commanders of the Border Troops and two basic organizations of the CIS member-states was held on April 4, 2025 in Moscow.
During the event, the plenipotentiary representatives shared information on the situation in the CIS member-states in the field of countering terrorism and extremism, as well as the most important events in the foreign and domestic affairs of the Commonwealth countries. The representatives the NAC office informed on the modernized version of the International Database on Countering Terrorism. The CIS ATC staff informed the participants about the results of the XIV Regional Expert Consultations of Representatives of Anti-Terrorism Units of the Competent Authorities of the CIS Member-States in the Kyrgyz Republic, the status of CIS ATC’s cooperation with the specialized international organizations, threats of radicalization of migrants in the CIS (based on the results of research conducted by the All-Russian Research Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia commissioned by the BKBOP and the CIS ATC).
The head of the CIS Basic Educational Organization presented information on making a list of implemented and promising areas of training in educational organizations of the competent authorities of the CIS member states in the field of countering terrorism and extremism.
The meeting was held in an atmosphere of trust and fruitful dialogue.
