The CIS Anti-Terrorism Center in cooperation with the State Committee of National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic organized the XIV Regional Expert Consultations of Representatives of Anti-Terrorism Units of the Competent Authorities of the CIS Member-States held on March 13, 2025, in Bishkek.
The event was attended by delegations of the competent authorities of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
The participants exchanged assessments of the situation developing in the CIS member-states of the Central Asian region in the field of countering terrorism and extremism and countries’ experience in preventing terrorist use of UAVs against critical infrastructure, identifying and suppressing channels used for transporting terrorist means, blocking routes of terrorist movement in the CIS territories.
The expert consultations also reviewed the CIS best practices of deradicalization and their possible application under the Program of Cooperation of the CIS Member-States in the Field of Deradicalization for 2025–2027.
The proposals developed during the XIV Regional Expert Consultations were reflected in the Outcome Document.
