A get-together was held under the auspices of the CIS ATC with a support of the State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus from 31 May to 2 June 2016.
Delegations of the competent authorities from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, and Russia, representatives of the CIS statutory bodies and bodies of branch cooperation (Executive Committee, Secretariat of the Council of the Ministers of Defence, Coordination Service of the Council of the Commanders of the Border Forces, Office for the Coordination of the Fight Against Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Types of Crime, Interstate Aviation Committee), regional and international organizations (UNODC, SCO RATS, Collective Security Treaty Organization) participated in a three-day event.
Within the framework of the event, a meeting of the CIS ATC Scientific and Advisory Council was organized, results of the first stage of the Cyber Anti-Terror 2016 Joint Anti-Terrorism Exercise conducted earlier in May in the territory of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia were summed up.
Special units of the State Security Committee, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Defense and State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus conducted a second stage of the exercise involving a counter-terrorist hostage-release and manoeuvre terrorist group neutralization operation at the key energy infrastructure facility (Lukoml Power Station).
