A meeting of the permanent council at the CIS ATC Head involving the representatives of 7 Commonwealth states and SORB Executive Committee was held on December 15, 2023 in Moscow.
The meeting brought together representatives of the competent authorities of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Uzbekistan; SORB Executive Bureau.
During the meeting the participants discussed development of the situation in the field of combating terrorism and extremism in the Commonwealth, as well as promising areas of cooperation between the CIS ATC and the competent authorities.
The head of the Center informed the participants about the main results of work in 2023, noting the high level of interaction with the security agencies of the Commonwealth countries and the positive results of joint activities achieved.
The participants were briefed about the events held in October-November this year, including international scientific and practical conference “Strategic vectors of transit of post-Soviet states and geopolitical challenges to the CIS member states: analysis and forecast”, organized by the Anti-Terrorism Center of the CIS member states and Moscow State Linguistic University, and XIII Regional expert consultations of representatives of security agencies and special services and law enforcement agencies of the CIS member-states.
The meeting was held in an atmosphere of trust and meaningful dialogue.
