A meeting of the permanent council at the CIS ATC Head with participation of the authorized representatives of the Commonwealth states took place on December 16, 2022 in Moscow.
The meeting brought together representatives of the competent authorities of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia and Tajikistan, SORB Executive Committee and CIS ATC executives.
The meeting reviewed development of the situation in the counter-terrorism and counter-extremism area in the CIS space as well as promising lines of cooperation of the CIS ATC and competent authorities.
The CIS ATC Head briefed the participants of the main outcomes of the Center’s work in 2022 and noted the high level of interaction with the Commonwealth security agencies and the achieved positive results of joint operations.
The participants were informed of the extended meeting of the Scientific and Advisory Council at CIS ATC and XII Regional expert consultations of the representatives of the security agencies, special services and law-enforcement authorities of the CIS states held in November.
Moreover the meeting reviewed the state and prospects of the CIS ATC’s cooperation with the civil society organizations. The Center’s representative made a presentation of the science-to-practice conference and international contest of the students’ counter-terrorism and counter-extremism initiatives “Student’s Shield” organized jointly with the Moscow State Linguistic University.
The meeting was held in an atmosphere of trust and substantive dialogue.
