A meeting of the permanent council at the CIS ATC Head with participation of the authorized representatives of the Commonwealth states to CIS ATC took placed on October 7, 2022 in Moscow.
The meeting reviewed the state and trends of situation development in the CIS member-states in the field of counter-terrorism and counter-extremism, as well as the situation in Afghanistan and its impact on the nature and scale of threats in the Commonwealth space.
More over the Centers’ representatives informed about the main results of the CIS ATC’s work in the 3rd quarter, outcomes of the Commonwealth-Anti-Terror – 2022 joint antiterrorism drill and preparation for the next drill in 2023.
The Center also presented proposals for further development of the CIS legal framework related to countering terrorism and extremism, improvement of preparation of the CIS ATC’s Information Bulletin.
The meeting was held in an atmosphere of constructive dialogue and engaged exchange of views.
