A regular meeting of the standing conference at CIS ATC Head with participation of the authorized representatives of the CIS member-states was held on 23 November 2011 in CIS ATC.
The trends in development of operational situation in the Commonwealth states, specificity of terrorist and extremist threats, existing preventive response measures were discussed during the meeting. The authorized representatives were informed on the main results of the Center's activity in 2011 as well as events scheduled for 2012.
While addressing the meeting participants, the CIS ATC Head Colonel-General of Police A. Novikov highlighted that under increasing new terrorist and extremist challenges and threats posed to the CIS member-states the issues related to elaboration of joint measures of collective response to such manifestations, improvement of existing mechanisms of interaction between the CIS ATC and security bodies, special services of the Commonwealth states in timely exchange of expert-analytical and forecast-assessment information remained most burning.
