The CIS ATC’s delegation took part in meetings of the CIS Inter-Parliament Assembly commissions which were held in Saint Petersburg on March 28, 2024.
The CIS IPA Joint Commission on Harmonization of Legislation in the Field of Security and Countering New Challenges and Threats reviewed a number of specialized draft laws. They include a draft concept of the model law “On countering terrorist and extremist use of autonomous and robotic systems” which was elaborated by the CIS ATC, new revision of the model law “On mobilization training and mobilization”, concepts of the draft recommendations on identification, recording and registration the human trafficking crimes in the CIS states and the model law “On territorial defense”.
The parliamentarians appraised the draft model law “On criminal intelligence”, reviewed the proposals for including the draft Recommendations on anti-corruption awareness in the Perspective plan of model lawmaking in the CIS for 2023–2025.
The commissions have completed the work on the draft Recommendations for improving legal regulation of activities of the CIS border agencies in countering terrorism, which were elaborated with participation of the CIS ATC, approved the concepts of draft Recommendations on identifying, recording and registration of human trafficking crimes in the CIS ad the model law “On navigational support”.
