The CIS ATC’s delegation led by its Head Colonel General Evgeny Sysoev took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference on "Ensuring National, Regional and International Security: Current Problems and Solutions" dedicated to the 85th anniversary of founding of the National Security Academy of the Republic of Belarus and held on April 1-3, 2025 in Minsk.

The conference was opened by the Chair of KGB of the Republic of Belarus. The plenary session was attended by high-ranking officials of the Republic of Belarus, including  Chairs of the Council of the Republic and the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, State Secretary of the Security Council, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, Minister of Education, Chair of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences, Chair of the Higher Attestation Commission, Chair of the State Committee on Science and Technology, Chair of the Synodal Department for Cooperation with Secular Educational Institutions, as well as executives of the CIS bodies — Deputy Secretary General of the CIS, Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the CIS IPA Council, Head of CIS ATC, SCO and CSTO bodies – Deputy Director of the Executive Committee of the RATS SCO and a member of the CSTO PA standing commission on socio-economic and legal issues.

In his statement Evgeny Sysoev congratulated the State Security Committee and the staff of the Academy on the 85th anniversary of its foundation and noted that the Academy, established in 1940 in Mogilev as the Interregional School of the NKVD of the USSR for training employees of state security agencies, has come a long and glorious way, continuously developing its activities.

Today's Academy is a multidisciplinary educational institution, a scientific and methodological center in the field of training, retraining and advanced training of employees of the security agencies of Belarus, with which the Anti-Terrorism Center has developed close relations.

The Center’s Head informed the participants that the system of support to the competent authorities in training personnel in topical areas of countering terrorism established by the CIS ATC has made it possible to train over 2,100 employees of the special services of the Commonwealth countries, while the effectiveness of this joint work largely depends on the unification of efforts in the educational and scientific spheres.

In addition, he drew attention to the fact that the high level of international tension and complexity of the operational situation, caused by the trans-border nature of modern challenges and threats, dictate an objective need to integrate efforts to ensure collective and national security in the CIS.

The conference was also attended by heads and representatives of security agencies, special services and specialized higher educational institutions and scientific organizations of 7 CIS member-states (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan).
