Deputy Head of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center Sergey Zubkov took part in the expert group meeting aimed to approve the draft Statement of the Heads of State of the CIS on cooperation in combating legalization (laundering) of criminal proceeds, financing of terrorism and financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction on June 19, 2025.
The event was attended by experts and authorized representatives of 7 Commonwealth states (the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan), CIS Executive Committee, Council of Heads of Financial Intelligence Units of the CIS Member-States, Bureau for the Coordination of Fight against Organized Crime and Other Types of Crimes in the Territory of CIS Member-States and Secretariat of the Coordination Council of Prosecutor Generals of the CIS Member-States. The proposals and comments received from representatives of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Council of Heads of Financial Intelligence Units of the CIS Member States were taken into account. The meeting participants agreed on the draft Statement, respective decisions of Council of CIS Foreign Ministers and Council of Heads of CIS States.
