EXTENDED PLENARY MEETING OF THE CIS ATC SCIENTIFIC AND ADVISORY COUNCIL ON "COOPERATION OF THE COMPETENT AUTHORITIES OF THE CIS MEMBER-STATES IN NEUTRALIZING TERRORIST OUTREACH ACTIVITES"

 

On 11 November 2021 the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center held an extended meeting of its Scientific and Advisory Council at the premises of the Research Institute of CIS Security Problems dedicated to “Cooperation of the Competent Authorities of the CIS Member-States in Neutralizing Outreach Activities of International Terrorist Organizations”.

The agenda included scientific coverage of the topics related main trends of development of the terrorist outreach activity, employed means and methods of extremist propaganda in digital environment.

The participants of the scientific debates noted a worrying trend in the rise of outreach activity in the digital environment and indicated ways in which to counter extremist propaganda.

The event was attended by representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, members of Scientific Board of the Research Institute of CIS Security Problems, invited experts from the leading think tanks and educational institutions of Russia and Commonwealth states representing variable scientific schools in political science, history, psychology, philosophy, philology, legal science and economics.
