Andrey Novikov

Born on 23 December 1956, graduated from the Leningrad State University in 1986, Candidate of Juridical Sciences.
A. Novikov has worked his way up from an inspector of criminal investigation department to the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
A. Novikov is awarded with the following decorations of the Russian Federation: Order "For personal courage", Order of Honor, Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" IV grade, Order of Friendship; Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs decoration "Honored Fellow of the MVD".
A. Novikov was appointed as the Head of the Commonwealth of Independent States Anti-Terrorism Center (representative of the Russian Federation) by the decision of the Council of the Heads of CIS Member-States as of 28 November 2006.
The term as Head of the CIS ATC was extended for three years till 31 December 2021 by the decision of the Council of the Heads of CIS Member-States as of 28 September 2018.
