A CIS ATC representative took part in Digital conference on Countering Terrorist Communications: Terrorist Propaganda, Public Provocation, Recruitment and Radicalization organized by the Council of Europe Committee on Counter-Terrorism on 31 January – 1 February 2023.
The agenda included reports of the experts from the governmental authorities of Australia, Great Britain, Germany, Nigeria, U.S., Turkiye, Finland, different think tanks and international organizations, including United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Europol.
The conference participants discussed proliferation of terrorist content in the Internet and organization of comprehensive work aimed to prevent activity of terrorist activity online.
Presentations covered national practices of disrupting recruitment to terrorism and proliferation of destructive materials.
The participants reviewed trends of online radicalization of citizens, including young people, responding to public incitement to commit terrorist attacks, as well as specificity of collection of e-evidence when tackling terrorism content online.
