A meeting of the CIS ATC Head Colonel General E.S. Sysoev and Rector of the Moscow State Linguistic University I.A. Kraeva took place on 3 February 2022 at the CIS ATC’s headquarters.
The parties assessed the state of the partnership and discussed the issues of terrorism and extremism prevention among youth. They noted the positive results of the annual International contest of students’ initiatives in countering terrorist ideology “Student’s Shield” organized in 2021.
The meeting participants stressed the importance of joining efforts of the academic community and specialized international organizations to prevent terrorism and extremism, strengthening links of the universities with the anti-terrorism agencies of the Commonwealth states, continuing the practice of holding joint events, including research-to-practice conferences, workshops, round tables with experts from the CIS member-states.
In conclusion of their meeting the heads of delegations expressed interest in developing cooperation.
