Wrap-up and awards ceremony for the participants of the International contest of students’ initiatives in countering terrorism ideology “Student’s Shield” took place on 11 June 2021 in Moscow.
The event organized by the Moscow State Linguistic University and CIS Anti-Terrorism Center was attended by 73 students, representatives of 17 universities and colleges from 6 states including Republic of Armenia, Republic of Kazakhstan, Republic of Moldova, Republic of Serbia, Russian Federation and Republic of Uzbekistan.
53 works were presented for the judges of the contest.
The winners in “The best video clip”, “The best literary work”, “The best visual information material”, “The best preventive action” categories are:
“The best video clip” category:
1st place – Angelina S. Belina, Maxim E. Vanyasov, Darya D. Klyuchareva (Russia, Nizhniy Novgorod Institute of Management – Branch of RANEPA), who presented a video clip on “Prevention of extremism and terrorism”.
2nd place – Kirill S. Gromov, Nikita S. Zlobin, Anton O. Ryzhkov (Russia, MSLU) - a video clip on "Humanity is stronger than terrorism".
3rd place – Sandugash Niyazbekova, Dilnaz M. Sagynbekova, Dilnaz Bolatkan (Kazakhstan, Kazakh Ablai khan University of International Relations and World Languages) - a video clip on "Terrorism as a threat to personality, society, state".
“The best literary work” category:
1st place – Darya Yu. Tkacheva (Russia, Volgograd Institute of Management Branch of RANEPA) – essay on “Terrorism is a crime against humanity”.
2nd place – Irina V. Kharitonova (Russia, Kirov’s Military Medical Academy of the Russian MoD) – poem “Choice”.
3rd place – Natalya E. Shishkina (Russia, Kemerovo State University) – sketch “Fairytale that breaks my life”».
“The best visual information material” category:
1st place – Lana S. Venger, Viktoriya S. Tupik (Russia, MSLU) poster “Islam against terrorism”.
2nd place – Alexandr E. Abramov (Russia, Volgograd Institute of Management – branch of RANEPA) – poster “Terrorism is a destruction formula”.
3rd place – Sofiya R. Akhmatova, Darya S. Malevich, Kseniya R. Gavrilova (Russia, MSLU) – notice on countering terrorism.
“The best preventive action” category:
1st place – Sergey L. Vegert (Russia, Kirov’s Military Medical Academy of the Russian MoD) – script of performance of a propaganda team “Yes to Peace. No to Terror”.
2nd place – Alexandr E. Abramov (Russia, Volgograd Institute of Management – branch of RANEPA) – video lecture on “Young lions of the Caliphate as a horrible heritage of the Islamic terrorists”.
3rd place – Miloš T. Tomić (Republic of Serbia, Belgrad university) – lecture on “Communication aspect of terrorism as a security phenomena”.
