A representatives of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center attended a meeting of the International Headquarters of the CSTO regional anti-illegal migration operation "Illegal" chaired by the Secretary of the Coordination Council of the heads of competent authorities of the CSTO member-states on combating illegal migration, head of the Main Directorate for Migration Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Lieutenant General of Police Valentina Kazakova on March 26, 2025.
The event brought together representatives of the migration authorities of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the CSTO Secretariat, the Coordination Service of the Council of Commanders of the Border Troops, and Rosfinmonitoring.
In his statement the Center’s representative emphasized the need to improve cooperation in the field of combating illegal migration and preventing penetration of ITO members into the CIS and CSTO states.
During the meeting, the participants reviewed and agreed on the Plan of the "Illegal" operation in 2025, the procedure of the operation’s command and control.
