The CIS ATC team led by the Center’s Deputy Head Sergey Zubkov took part in the third stage of the strategic command and staff exercise "Responding to crisis situations in the CSTO AoR with due regard for the evolving situation" on March 19, 2025.
The event held at the CSTO Crisis Response Center was attended by representatives of the General Staffs of the Armed Forces of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, the Secretariat and the Joint Staff of the CSTO.
During the exercise the participants exchanged their assessment of the situation in the Central Asian region of the CSTO area of collective security.
During their subsequent working meeting CIS ATC Deputy Head Sergey Zubkov and Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Andrey Serdyukov discussed preparation for the simultaneous conduct of the final stages of the CIS joint anti-terrorism exercise “Commonwealth-Antiterror - 2025” and CSTO peacekeeping forces exercise “Indestructible Brotherhood” in 2025 in the Republic of Tajikistan.
