CIS ATC holds a working meeting with the Analytical Support and Sanctions Monitoring Team of the UN Security Council Committees

 
A working meeting of the CIS ATC delegation led by the Center's First Deputy Head Zhanat Saypoldayev with the delegation of the Analytical Support and Sanctions Monitoring Team of the UN Security Council Committee pursuant to UNSC Resolutions 1267/1989/2253 concerning ISIS and Al-Qaida and pursuant to UNSC Resolution 1988 concerning the Taliban movement, consisting of the Russian (Gennady Lutay), Chinese (Chunjie Li) and South African (Nina Marais) experts, was held on December 11, 2024, in Moscow.
 
The meeting was held at the initiative of the Russian Foreign Ministry ahead of preparation of the 35th report on ISIS (Daesh), Al-Qaida and associated individuals, groups, organizations and entities.
 
During the meeting the parties exchanged information about the situation in Afghanistan, caused by the activities of international terrorist organizations, and its impact on the countries of the Central Asian region.
