Deputy Head of the CIS ATC Sergey Zubkov took part in the meeting of representatives of National Bodies of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Member-States authorized to interact with the CSTO Crisis Response Center (CRC), on November 6-7, 2024 in Astana.
The event held at the National University of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan was attended by the executives of the command centers of the General Staffs of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, representatives of the Coordination Service of the Council of Commanders of the Border Troops, the Secretariat and the Joint Staff of the CSTO, the CIS ATC.
The participants reviewed information interaction in the CSTO format, increasing efficiency of information exchange between the CRC, national bodies of the CSTO member-states, governing bodies of other interested ministries, departments and organizations.
In his speech, the Deputy Head of the CIS ATC assessed the situation in the sphere of countering terrorism and extremism in the Commonwealth and noted that terrorist groups operating in Afghanistan, as well as the further increase in terrorist activity in the information space, including with the use of artificial intelligence, remain the main source of threats to the CIS states.
Sergey Zubkov stressed that the competent authorities of the Commonwealth countries constantly monitor the situation in order to promptly respond to emerging challenges and threats to security.
