First Deputy Head of CIS ATC took part in the first meeting of the Central Asian Regional Expert Council on rehabilitation and reintegration of individuals returning from areas of terrorist activity, held on May 14, 2024.
The event was also attended by the representatives of the Central Asian countries and international organizations, including UN, OSCE, CICA, SCO RATS.
In his statement Mr. Zhanat Saipoldaev commended positive results of the works aimed to re-socialize and re-integrate the individuals returned from the armed conflict zones which is carried out in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, and noted a necessity to adopt preventive measures to counter the sources of radical ideas.
In this regard Mr. Saipoldaev highlighted the importance of international cooperation in this field in order to elaborate a common approach to application of international law instruments, including norm, rules and principles of security in the field of information-communication technologies actively used by terrorists.
