8th meeting of the standing expert group of CIS ATC, SCO RATS EC and CSTO Secretariat was held in the CIS ATC’s headquarters on December 6, 2023.
The CIS Anti-Terrorism Center’ delegation was led by the Center’s Head Colonel General Evgeny Sysoev.
The meeting reviewed the situation in the field of counter-terrorism and counter-extremism and trends of its development in the areas of the parties’ responsibility, as well as best practices of use of collective information systems during joint anti-terrorism exercises of the CIS member-states.
The experts also discussed countering the threats of terrorist use of the Internet and commitments of attacks on critical infrastructure facilities, as well as the organization of the second CT round table in 2024.
The next meeting of the group is scheduled for the first half of 2024 under the CSTO’s presidency.
