A meeting of the CIS ATC’s Head Colonel General Evgeny Sysoev with the experts of the UN Security Council’s Analytical Support and Sanctions Monitoring Team pursuant to resolutions 1526 (2004) and 2253 (2015) concerning ISIL (Da'esh), Al-Qaida and the Taliban and associated individuals and entities was held in the CIS ATC’s headquarters on November 30, 2023.
During the meeting the parties exchanged their opinions on the current challenges and threats in different variable corners of the world posed by international terrorist organizations.
Special focus was made on the situation in the CIS Central Asian states amid the recent developments in Afghanistan.
The meeting was organized ahead of preparation of the next Team’s report pursuant to UN SC resolution 2610 (2021) concerning ISIL (Da'esh), Al-Qaida and associated individuals and entities.
