The CIS ATC’s representative took part in the UN consultations on “Early Warning Network (EWN) in counter-terrorism for Central Asia” (national component for Uzbekistan) organized by United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) and United Nations Regional Center of Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) on July 13-14, 2023.
During the working meeting the representatives of the governmental authorities and civil society institutes of the Republic of Uzbekistan, international, regional and national experts discussed key security challenges faced by the Central Asian states amid the developing situation in Afghanistan.
The participants were familiarized with the best practices of the regional structures, including CIS ATC, in information exchange and discussed the methodology and practical implementation of the Early Warning Network.
