A representative of CIS ATC took part in the CIS inter-MFA consultations on "Countering new challenges and threats" in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic on June 28, 2023.
The event was attended by the representatives of the Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation, Republic of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, CIS Executive Committee.
The participants reviewed issues of multilateral counter-terrorism cooperation, fight on extremism, countering to population radicalisation, and financing of terrorism, anti-drug cooperation.
The CIS ATC's representative made a statement on the results of the Center's cooperation with respective international organizations, shared the assessment of the terrorist threats in the Commonwealth area, briefed the meeting about the forthcoming first CIS-wide counter-terrorism conference to be held in the Kyrgyz Republic in September this year and simultaneously conducted anti-terrorism exercises of the CIS and SCO member-states.
The participants highlighted a necessary comprehensive CT cooperation between the Commonwealth member-states at the politico-diplomatic level as well as at the level of the special services and law enforcement authorities.
The delegates supported the idea of elaborating common standards to counter radical propaganda and activities of terrorist organisations in the Internet.
