CIS ATC attended a Meeting of representatives of national agencies of CSTO member-states


First deputy head of CIS ATC Zh.N. Saipoldaev participated in the Meeting of representatives of the national agencies of Collective Security Treaty Organization’s member-states authorized to contact with the CSTO Crisis Response Center (CRC) in Moscow on May 30, 2023.

The event held at the CSTO’ Joint Staff was attended by the heads of staff units of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, representatives of the Coordinating Service of the Council of Border Troops Commanders, CSTO Secretariat and military-industrial complex enterprises of the Russian Federation.

The participants discussed improvement of information exchange within the CSTO, enhancement of efficiency of information exchange between the CRC, national agencies of CSTO member-states, command-and-controls of other interested ministries, agencies and organizations.

In his statement Zh.N. Saipoldaev assessed the situation in the field of counter-terrorism and counter-extremism in the Commonwealth’s space with reference to the outcomes of the XVI Meeting of heads of national anti-terrorism centers of the CIS member-states held in Moscow in April 2023.

The competent authorities constantly monitor the situation for the purpose of rapid response to the emerging challenges and threats, he stressed.

The work to improve information exchange is aimed to expand the sources of information on the political-military environment and shorten the terms of information reception and transmission, the chief of CSTO Crisis Response Center A.F. Rakhmanov said.

As part of this work, cooperation with the Council of Border Troops Commanders, their Coordinating Service as well as with the CIS ATC is being developed. A.F. Rakhmanov noted that the CIS ATC and CSTO Joint Staff, as previously agreed by the organizations’ executives, exchange reference-analytical materials on the topics of mutual interest.
