Deputy Head of CIS Anti-Terrorism Center Major General P.V. Tikhonov took part in the meeting of the CSTO Parliament Assembly Council in Minsk on May 18, 2023.
The meeting reviewed organization of support of a new line of cooperation in bio-security, implementation of decisions of a regular session of the CSTO Collective Security Council held in November 2022, prospects of development of the member-states’ model legislation on countering challenges and threats to security within the Organization’s area of responsibility.
The participants also discussed amendments to the Program of activity of the Parliament Assembly on approximation and harmonization of the national legislation of the CSTO member-states for 2021–2025 and corrected a Plan of the Assembly’s work for 2023.
The event brought together delegations headed by the speakers of the CSTO member-states (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan), as well as invited representatives of Vietnam, Iran, China and Cuba.
