As part of cooperation with the UN Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate, the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center has prepared a Russian translation of the analytical brief "Management of violent extremist prisoners and the prevention of radicalization to violence in prison" elaborated by this specialized UN unit.
The publication contains review of data on and trends in violent extremist prisoners, provides an analysis of the main challenges that have been noted regarding the management of VEPs across States, and identifies key elements that could be of help in strengthening overall efforts in the field of terrorism and management of terrorist offenders.
