More than 60 representatives of the CIS member-states of the Central Asian states, officers of the UN agencies and regional organizations, experts of the civil society institutes and CIS Anti-Terrorism Center attended a Launch of the Counter-Terrorism Early Warning Network for Central Asia co-organized by the UN Office for Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) and UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia on 27-30 June this year in Istanbul, Turkiye.
The participants discussed key problems and challenges arising amid the situation in Afghanistan and the Taliban takeover, as well as the issues of terrorist propaganda and recruitment.
The CIS ATC representative offered his report during a thematic session on “Assessment and response of international and regional organizations to the threats originating from Afghanistan”.
