Within the framework of cooperation with the UN SC Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED) the Commonwealth of Independent States Anti-Terrorism Center has translated into Russian the CTED’s update on The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on terrorism, counter-terrorism and countering violent extremism.
The report covers assessment of the impact of pandemic on the terrorism landscape and reflects on terrorist use of pandemic-related sociocultural restrictions including for recruitment, radicalization, and operation through online platforms.
