A representative of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center on the invitation of the INTERPOL General Secretariat attended the project KALKAN working group meeting for Central Asia on border security and information sharing on 31 October – 1 November in Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan.
The event brought together representatives of NCBs and security agencies of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Switzerland and Japan, as well as four international organizations, including INTERPOL, CIS ATC, SCO RATS and EAG. During the meeting the CIS ATC representative delivered a presentation on terrorist use of UAVs.
