The CIS ATC’s delegation led by the CIS ATC's Head Andrey Novikov is taking part in the 45th INTERPOL European Regional Conference in Salzburg/St Johann im Pongau, Austria on 16-18 May 2017.
The agenda predominantly focused on terrorism, cybercrime and foreign terrorist-fighters returning to the home countries, which fall under the Center’s mandate.
A working meeting of the Center’s Head Andrey Novikov and INTERPOL’s Secretary General Jurgen Stock took place on 17 May on the sidelines of the conference.
The parties have discussed further cooperation of the CIS ATC and INTERPOL and employment of the organizations’ capacities in the interest of counter-terrorism.
Organization of operational sharing of information with the INTERPOL’s General Secretariat and improvement of communication channels have also been discussed at the meeting.
