Consultations on Security Issues between Ministries of Foreign Affairs within the Frameworks of SCO

CIS ATC delegation headed by Colonel General of Police A. Novikov took part in the Consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member-states.

Within the frameworks of the meeting the participants have exchanged their views on foreign security cooperation in combating international terrorism and extremism, illicit trafficking, transboundary organized crime, cyber-crime and other challenges and threats.

During his speech before the participants of the consultations dedicated to strengthening regional cooperation of CIS and SCO in regional security and combating terrorist challenges and threats, the Head of CIS ATC highlighted the burning issues of interstate cooperation in combating terrorism and extremism and noted the necessity of promoting collaboration between CIS ATC and SCO RATS

The event held in Moscow (Russia) was attended by deputy ministers of foreign affairs of Afghanistan, Iran, China, Pakistan, Russia and Tajikistan, delegations of India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Turkey and Uzbekistan, representatives of the UN and the CSTO.
