Deputy Head of CIS ATC Sergey Zubkov took part in the 16th meeting of the Transport Security Council under the Coordinating Transport Conference of the CIS Member-States in Minsk on September 9, 2024.
The meeting reviewed implementation of the Council's Work Plan for 2023-2025 and the Plan of Action for implementation of the Strategy of providing transport security in the territories of the CIS member-states during international movements for 2020-2025, and the development of legislative and other regulatory legal acts in the field of protecting the transport complex from acts of illegal interference, by the CIS member-states in 2023-2024.
Special focus was made on transport security issues in the implementation of the CIS Program of Cooperation in Countering Terrorism and Extremism for 2023-2025 in the Commonwealth states, as well as the inclusion of activities in this area in the draft CIS Program of Cooperation in Countering Terrorism and Extremism for 2026-2028.
