The CIS ATC’s delegation led by its Head Evgeny Sysoev took part in the meeting of the Council of the ministers of interior of the CIS member-states (hereinafter called Council) which was held in Minsk, Republic of Belarus on August 9, 2024.
The event was attended by the delegations of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, CIS Executive Committee, Office for Coordination of Fight on Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Type of Crime in the CIS territory (BKBOP).
The participants reviewed the progress of work under the Interstate program of joint measures to fight on crime for 2024-2028, summed up the coordinated inter-agency operational and preventive measures conducted in cooperation with the internal affairs agencies of the CIS member-states, approved a report on the Council’s activities in 2020-2023, approved a Plan of promising lines of cooperation of the ministries of interior of the CIS member-states in countering the crimes committed with use of information-communication technologies for 2025-2027, and adopted a number of decisions aimed to improve the efficiency of cooperation in the law enforcement field.
The CIS ATC’s Head presented the CT situation and the results of work in countering terrorism and extremism in the CIS area in 2023 by noting a significant contribution of the fine-tuned cooperation of the CIS law enforcement agencies and joint efforts of the related CIS agencies in their achievement.
The case in point is the partnership relations established between the Center and BKBOP which rest on a solid organizational and legal foundation and good traditions stemming from long-standing practices.
