A representative of the CIS ATC took part in the VIII meeting of an expert working group of the Council of Heads of CIS Penitentiary Services on March 29, 2024 in Almaty.
The event brought together representatives of the penitentiary services of the Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Tajikistan and Republic of Uzbekistan and CIS Executive Committee.
The meeting reviewed burning issues of the penitentiary services of the CIS states, including counteraction to dissemination of terrorist and extremist ideas in prisons, staff training, upgrading of the staff skills, etc.
The Center’s representative informed the participants on the results of the CIS ATC’s cooperation with the Council in operational and educational areas.
