The head of the legal support group of the CIS ATC took part in the seminar “Protection of the electoral sovereignty of the CIS IPA member-states” in St. Petersburg on October 12, 2023.
The event brought together representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as CIS bodies (Executive Committee, ATC, BKBOP, KSGP, SKPV Coordinating Service) and CSTO.
The seminar reviewed best practices in protecting electoral sovereignty and experience of countering foreign interference in elections and referendums.
The Center’s representative presented a draft model law “On Public Security”, developed by the CIS ATC, at the session dedicated to security during preparation and conduct of elections and referendums.
