The CIS ATC's delegation led by First Deputy Head Zhanat Saipoldaev took part in the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS member-states held in Turkestan, Republic of Kazakhstan on September 15, 2023.
The meeting was attended by the heads of the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, CIS First Deputy Secretary General and Director of the Office for Coordination of Fight on Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Types of Crime on the Territory of CIS States (BKBOP).
The participants reviewed a wide range of issues, including the progress of implementation of the Interstate Program of Joint Measures to Combat Crime for 2019–2023, the results of preventive operations and special operations carried out by the internal affairs structures of the Commonwealth states, problems in combating crimes committed with use of information technologies, and maintaining law and order on transport.
In his statement, Zhanat Saipoldaev assessed the state and development of the situation in the fight on international terrorism, noted the high level of practical interaction between the Center, the Council and BKBOP by pointing out, in particular, the positive results of the joint special operations aimed to search for terrorists and their supporters, and expressed hope for further development of fruitful cooperation.
