An expert group meeting to agree upon a draft Program of cooperation of the CIS member-states in de-radicalization for 2023-2025 was held on January 24, 2023.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, MIR Interstate TV and Radio Company, CIS Executive Committee and CIS ATC.
During the meeting the experts reviewed the draft Program and following the discussions and with due regard of the received proposals of the states recommended the Republic of Uzbekistan – a Program developer to address the CIS base organization in charge of research of issues of countering terrorism and other violent manifestations of extremism in order to obtain an expert opinion on the topic, conceptual frameworks, goals and tasks of the draft Program, subjects and objects of de-radicalization activity.
The meeting was held in the atmosphere of constructive dialogue.
