The Head of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center E.S. Sysoev took part in the meeting of the Council of the Heads of Financial Intelligence Units on June 3, 2022.
The meeting attended by the representatives of the specialized competent authorities, branch cooperation bodies of the Commonwealth and international organizations featured a constructive dialog on a wide range of issues in combating financing of criminal activity.
The meeting reviewed execution of the Council's earlier adopted decisions, results of implementation of the interstate programs of cooperation and results of the Barrier operation which is conducted in the cooperation with the CIS ATC, as well as the measures taken in the Commonwealth states to fight on legalization (laundering) of illegally obtained proceeds, financing of terrorism and proliferation of mass destruction weapons.
The participants were informed about development of the Systems of information exchange between the financial intelligence units of the CIS member-states “Synergy” and results of work aimed to establish a center of service scientific educational platform of the International Olympiad on Financial Security “Commonwealth”.
