Participation in the meeting of the expert group

On 11-12 March 2014 a meeting of the expert group was held in Minsk, the Republic of Belarus, to approve the draft Convention of the CIS member-states on execution of the court judgements in respect of the foreign persons and persons without citizenship sentenced to penalties not related to isolation from the society and measures of criminal law nature in the state of which they are the citizens or in the territory of which they permanently reside. The meeting was attended by authorized representatives and experts of the Azerbaijan Republic, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Council of the Commanders of the Border Forces, Council of the Ministers of Interiorof the CIS member-states, CIS Anti-Terrorism Center, as well as officials of the CIS Executive Committee.

The meeting took a decision to alter the title of the existing draft Convention to "The CIS member-states' Convention on execution of the court judgements in respect of the persons sentenced to penalties not related with isolation from the society".

The draft Document itself was also refined and agreed upon in principle by the meeting participants with due regard to the discussed remarks and proposals of the Azerbaijan Republic, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Kazakhstan, Russian Federation, Republic of Uzbekistan, and Ukraine.
