A meeting of the CIS ATC’s Head Evgeny Sysoev with the executives and teaching staff as well as cadets of the National Security Academy of the Republic of Belarus took place in Minsk on June 5, 2024.
In his statement the Center’s Head informed the attendees about the origin and history of the CIS ATC, its key lines of work and measures taken to improve efficiency of coordinated operations of the competent authorities of the CIS member-states.
Besides, the Center’s Head assessed the situation in the counter-terrorism and counter-extremism field having focused on the situation in Afghanistan and transboundary movement of fighters from armed conflict zones. He noted the importance of consolidated anti-terrorist efforts of the CIS and other international organizations like UN, SCO and CSTO.
The meeting was held in the atmosphere of engaged dialogue.
