A meeting of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center’s Head Evgeny Sysoev and Chair of the State Committee of National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan Saimumin Yatimov was held in Dushanbe on May 29 2024.
During their meeting the parties assessed the state and prospects of further cooperation between the CIS ATC and SCNS, discussed the organization of information exchange and a number of practical issues in the field of counter-terrorism and counter-extremism.
Besides, the parties discussed the Third CIS conference on combating terrorism and extremism and joint anti-terrorism exercises of the CIS competent authorities scheduled in the Republic of Tajikistan in 2025.
The principals stressed the importance of consolidated joint efforts of the competent authorities of the Commonwealth states amid rising terrorist threats and expressed their commitment to strengthen the cooperation.
