A meeting of the Head of the Anti-Terrorism Center of the CIS Member-States Colonel General Sysoev E.S. and Chair of the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan Lieutenant General Azizov A.A. was held in Tashkent on November 6, 2023.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the state of cooperation between the CIS ATC and the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the prospects for its development, as well as organization of joint anti-terrorism exercises of the competent authorities of the CIS member-states and Regional expert consultations of representatives of the anti-terrorist units of the competent authorities of the Commonwealth countries to be held in 2024 on the territory of Uzbekistan.
In conclusion of the meeting, the executives highlighted the importance of consolidating the joint efforts of the competent authorities of the Commonwealth states amid the rising terrorist threats, and expressed interest in strengthening the cooperation.
