A meeting between the Head of CIS Anti-Terrorism Center Colonel General E. Sysoev and Chief of Azerbaijan State Security Service Colonel General A. Nagiev was held in Baku on June 8, 2023.
During their meeting the parties exchanged opinions on the trends of situation development and reviewed a number of practical issues in the field of counter-terrorism and counter-extremism.
The heads of delegations assessed the state and prospects of development of cooperation of the Center and the Service, discussed information exchange and conduct of CIS-wide counter-terrorism core events in 2023, including 53rd meeting of the SORB to be held in the second half of this year in Azerbaijan.
The principals stressed the importance of consolidated efforts of the competent authorities of the Commonwealth states amid the rising terrorist threats, and expressed their interest in strengthening the cooperation.
