A working meeting of representatives of the CIS ATC and State Committee of National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic was held in Moscow on August 22, 2022 to discuss preparation for joint anti-terrorism drill of the CIS competent authorities in 2023 in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The meeting participants reviewed the concept and stages of the drill, and discussed organizational issues of the planned event. It has been agreed to further hold working group meetings on the topic.
The joint anti-terrorism drills are envisaged by the Program of cooperation of the CIS member-states in combating terrorism and extremism and aimed at mastering algorithms of coordinated activities of the security agencies and special services of the Commonwealth member-states to prevent and suppress terrorist attacks.
The drills have been conducted under the auspices of the CIS ATC since 2001 at different critical infrastructure facilities of the CIS member-states.
