CIS ATC EXECUTIVES AND REPRESENTATIVES OF BELARUS STATE AVIATION ACADEMY MEET IN MINSK

The representatives of the Belarus State Aviation Academy and senior executives of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center held a working meeting in Minsk, Belarus on 5 January 2021 to discuss cooperation on specialists’ training in counter-terrorism and anti-extremism.

The representatives of the Aviation Academy including Director of Advanced Training Institute M. Zavaley, Academy Pro-rector for Research A. Zhukova, Academy Pro-rector for Discipline Yatskevich, CIS ATC Deputy Head P. Tikhonov and Consultant of the consulting section of the Belarus Ministry of Defense S. Dugko gathered at the working meeting.

The Academy’s representatives presented the existing models of UAV operators’ training in the Republic of Belarus, shared experience of their education, and demonstrated the available facilities and resources. In his turn the CIS ATC official expressed interest in organizing an advanced training course for the CIS member-states’ security personnel at the Academy.

Following the results of the meeting the parties defined the main lines of cooperation between two organizations in scientific research and training of specialists in the counter-terrorism and anti-extremism field.

The CIS Anti-Terrorism Center renders support in organizing and coordinating training of the specialists and instructors of the CIS security agencies’ CT units in most demanded lines of work.

Almost two thousand officers of the national CT units of the CIS security and intelligence agencies have completed the curriculum of the training programs elaborated and implemented in cooperation with the CIS ATC since 2002.
