On 26-28 September 2017, a workshop "Advanced training of the officers of the competent authorities of the CIS member-states directly involved in countering financing of terrorism and extremism" and a round table "Exchange of best practices for enhancement of efficiency of international co-operation in countering financing of terrorism" were held at the ITMCFM in Moscow, Russia under the auspices of the CIS ATC.
A procedure for compiling a list of organisations and individuals known as linked to extremist activity or terrorism; operation of an inter-agency commission on freezing of assets of the persons involved in financing of terrorism and other burning issues were on agenda of the three-day event.
The event brought together representatives of the security agencies from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Uzbekistan.
