CIS ATC participates in a side-event on "Countering Radicalization to Terrorism and Extremism in the OSCE Region"

 
A representative of the CIS ATC took part in a side-event on "Countering Radicalization to Terrorism and Extremism in the OSCE Region" organized by the Russian Federation on the margins of the OSCE Annual Security Review Conference (ASRC).
 
The event was attended by experts from the OSCE participating States and relevant international organizations, including the UN, SCO and CSTO.
 
The meeting discussed current issues of combating radicalization of society under the influence of the spread of terrorist and extremist ideology, with an emphasis on the presentation of relevant developments at the national and regional levels.
 
In her statement the Center’s representative focused on the main areas of activity of the CIS ATC in the field of countering the spread of terrorist ideology and deradicalization of the population in the Commonwealth, including participation in the implementation of the activities of the Program of CIS Member-States Cooperation in the Field of Deradicalization for 2025–2027, and noted the importance of developing international cooperation in this area.
