The CIS ATC’s representative took part in the V International Scientific and Practical Conference "Investigation: Science, Education, Practice", organized by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus in Minsk on June 20, 2025.
The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus D.Yu. Gora and the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation A.I. Bastrykin delivered welcoming remarks.
The conference brought together representatives of investigative units and educational organizations of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the Investigative Department of the KGB of the Republic of Belarus, the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Scientific and Educational Center of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Nizhny Novgorod National Research State University named after N.I. Lobachevsky, the Russian State University of Justice named after V.M. Lebedev, and the Saratov State Law Academy.
The conference participants discussed current criminal law and criminal procedure topics, including contemporary problems of the relationship between the theory of forensic science and practical application of criminal procedure legislation, problematic aspects of the development of forensic science in the context of digitalization, countering terrorism and extremism as a priority area for implementing criminal policy, use of artificial intelligence in investigative activities, modern capabilities of forensic genetic examination, and many others.
The CIS ATC’s representative delivered a report on "Comparative legal analysis of the counter-terrorism criminal legislation of the CIS member-states".
