Representatives of the CIS ATC took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference "From National to Global Security: Multifactor Analysis of Challenges and Threats to the Stable Development of Central Asia", organized by the youth expert community within the framework of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic on December 11-13, 2024.
The event was attended by representatives of scientific and educational organizations from the Kyrgyz Republic and other Central Asian states, the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, as well as the Jogorku Kenesh, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The participants discussed collective security and mechanisms for ensuring sustainable development of the region, preserving cultural and historical traditions and neutralizing destructive ideologies conducive to the emergence and spread of extremism.
In his statement the CIS ATC's representative emphasized the importance of preventive work in educational organizations aimed at counteracting the formation of radical ideas among young people and preventing the involvement of students and pupils in the activities of international terrorist and extremist organizations.
He identified the formation of a legal culture among young people, the cultivation of a tolerant attitude towards national, religious, social and other differences, as well as an explanation of the true goals of terrorist and extremist organizations and the harmfulness of radical ideologies as the main areas of this activity.
